Emergency roof tarping after Isaias

Water through a ceiling, shingles or tile gone, a tree through the deck: call or text, do not fill in a form. We tarp the roof to stop the water, the tarp is priced before it goes on, and we photograph the damage before it is covered. A tarp buys time, it is not the fix, and the permanent repair follows with a written price.

Free hurricane damage roof inspection

Wind pulls up, so Isaias hit the edges, corners, ridges and rakes first. Plenty of storm damage cannot be seen from the street: broken shingle seals, torn underlayment under intact shingles, slipped tile, moved flashing and soaked decking. We walk the roof, lift what needs lifting, check the attic and photograph everything, so you know exactly what the storm did. The hurricane roof damage guide shows what to photograph yourself in the meantime, from the ground.

Storm damage roof repair and roof replacement

Some roofs need a repair, and some need a new roof. We tell you which one yours is, straight, and price it in writing.

Hurricane Isaias path and landfall

Isaias formed in the southwestern Gulf on October 6, became a hurricane on October 8 and peaked at Category 3 over open water on October 9. It turned north and came ashore near Destin that evening, about 8:30 PM Central, as a Category 2 with 105 mph winds. The strongest gusts hit the coast west of landfall, in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties, where roofs were reported torn off in Pensacola and Milton. The track on the map is the National Hurricane Center's preliminary best track.

Your photos, our estimate, your insurance company

A roofer is not a public adjuster and does not negotiate your claim. What we do: a full inspection, dated photographs of the damage and an itemized estimate of the work, which you can hand to your insurance company. Whether your policy covers the damage is a question for them. Give the date Isaias made landfall, October 9, 2026, as the date of loss.

Hiring a roofer after Isaias

After a hurricane, crews with no Florida license knock on doors with paperwork that signs your insurance claim over to them. Look up any contractor's license at myfloridalicense.com before you sign anything. Ours is CCC1337501, a state license good in every Florida county. Never pay in full up front, and get every price in writing.

Required notice

Florida Statutes 489.147 asks us to tell you: the consumer is responsible for payment of any insurance deductible. It is insurance fraud punishable as a felony of the third degree for a contractor to knowingly or willfully, and with intent to injure, defraud, or deceive, pay, waive, or rebate all or part of an insurance deductible applicable to payment to the contractor for repairs to a property covered by a property insurance policy. It is insurance fraud punishable as a felony of the third degree to intentionally file an insurance claim containing any false, fraudulent, or misleading information.
