Marion County Building Safety permits unincorporated Marion; the City of Ocala, Belleview and Dunnellon each run their own building department, and an Ocala, Belleview or Dunnellon mailing address is often unincorporated county. A county re-roof permit issues once the fee is paid, but the application needs a product approval sheet listing every product going on the roof, vents included, by its Florida product number. On a job over $5,000, Marion wants a certified copy of the recorded Notice of Commencement before the first inspection, and the notice has to be on site at every inspection.
