Finished September 2026 · Owens Corning Oakridge · about 45 squares · Hernando, Citrus County
This shingle roof replacement in Hernando, Citrus County, went on in a single day in September 2026. The crew showed up on time, tore off, dried in and shingled the whole house before they left.
What went on the roof
The crew tore the old shingles off down to the deck, with tarps spread across the yard below so no old nail or shingle ended up in the grass. Over the clean deck went two layers of RhinoRoof U20 underlayment, then about 45 squares of Owens Corning Oakridge shingles in Estate Gray. The hips and ridge got matching ProEdge caps, a VentSure ridge vent lets the attic breathe, and a new skylight replaced the old one.
The county permit was pulled before work started, and the roof has passed its final inspection.
