This shingle roof replacement in Ocala, Marion County, went on in two days and passed its final inspection. The homeowner now has a Class 4 impact rated roof over a deck we checked sheet by sheet.
What went on
We tore off the old roof and went over the decking, re-nailing every sheet that needed it before anything new went down. Then the crew built the roof from the eave up: starter course at the edges, underlayment across the deck, and GAF Timberline UHDZ architectural shingles in Slate. Hips and ridges are finished with GAF Seal-A-Ridge, and the job came to about 25 squares.
