It depends on the village. The Villages spans both, and the two use different building departments. We check the property record before filing so the permit goes to the right office the first time. You do not need to work it out yourself, just give us the address.
The whole street is getting new roofs. Do I need one?
Maybe not yet. Villages homes were built out in waves, so a street tends to come due together, but condition varies house to house with shade, slope and how the original install went. We will get on the roof and tell you what we actually see, including if the honest answer is that you have a few years left.
Do you handle skylights and solar tubes?
Yes, and we look at them closely. On otherwise sound Villages roofs, penetrations like skylights, solar tubes and vent boots are the most common place we find a leak. We replace the flashing and boots as part of a reroof rather than reusing old ones.
How long does a reroof take?
Most single-family homes here are a one to two day tear-off and install once materials are on site. Weather and wood replacement can add a day. We tell you the schedule before we start and we do not stop the job to collect a signature.
